The return of Indian Economy after downturn has forced Automakers to take India market seriously. The robust performance of economy has seen Automakers launch their major models in Indian market. Lets have a look at "Cars-to-be-launched" in 2010-
SUV's (Special Utility Vehicle)
1.) Skoda Yeti- A mini SUV, is equiped with highest safety technology, offered in 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine. Price- Rs 10 to 14 lakh. Spacious and flexible for both type of driving- regular cityscape and occasional weekend outings.

2.) Hyundai Santa FE- With its competitive pricing, loaded with equipments, world class technology Hyundai has re-designed its new SUV. A mid-size crossover 2 wheel drive SUV with 5-speed automatic transmission 3.3L V6 engine. 242 HP @ 6000 RPM. Price range- 23 to 26 lakh.


3.) Nissan Murano- A crossover from Nissan, powered by 3.5 L VQ engine produces 270 PS of power.Price ranging between 40 to 45 lakh. The 3,500cc 24-valve DOHC V6 petrol that powers the famous 350Z. The engine with a variable induction system and CWTS produces 265 bhp@6,000 rpm with more than 34.28 kgm of torque available at 4,400 rpm. With 4WD system and Murano's intelligent system begins with a 50:50 split, which can move to either 100 per cent torque to the front wheels, or 60:40 and 80:20 split options during cornering.
MPV or MUV (Multi Purpose/Utility Vehicles)
1.) Tata Indicruz- Expected to be powered by 2.2L DICOR common rail diesel engine. It can prove to be an answer to a MPV with all specifications required for Indian market- Value for money, Space and high fuel economy. Price range 12-13 lakh.
2.) Nissan NV200- After all new Nisssan X-Trail and Teana, next in line is NV200 which is available in petrol as well as diesel. Priced at around 11 lakh Rs. 16 valve Engine- 1598cc 106 BHP and 153 Nm torque.
3.) Toyota Avanza- Available in Petrol and diesel engines, Toyota Avanza is going to catch attention as a affordable people carrier with price ranging around 7 lakh Rs. 1495cc DOHC 16 valve VVT-i Engine 107BHP@6000 RPM.
4.) Maruti R3- The all new concept car from Maruti, it is based on SX4 platform. Powered by Maruti Suzuki’s K-Series petrol engine both 1.2L and 1.4L variants (VW engines), there is also a possibility to get the Fiat’s 1.3-litre diesel under the hood.
