What is marketing? It includes all activities involved in transferring the product/service from the organization to the customer. Let it be-

- Understanding the customer's buying behavior
- Customer's Needs/wants
- Pricing
- Promotion/Advertising/PR
- Strategy for launch of products- SDP strategy
- Distribution
- Selling
- Managing sales force
- Channels- retailing/wholesaling
- After sales service
- Competitor's Analysis and whole bunch of activities.

American Marketing Association defines Marketing as "The process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational goals".
